Repair policy

We repair our own work, for as long as you own it.

If a joint loosens, a finish fails, or something arrives with a mark on it, send us photographs and tell us what happened. We will tell you honestly whether it is a fix you can do at home, something to send back, or something we should come and look at.

What we don't take on

We do not take in repairs or refinishing on furniture built by someone else. It is not a judgement on the piece — we simply can't stand behind joinery and finishes we didn't put there, and quoting that work fairly means pulling it apart first.

Fair wear

Solid timber picks up a history. Dents, patina and seasonal movement are the material doing what it does, and they are not faults. Structural failure is a different thing, and that is what this policy is for.
